I was a Junior with Zoe in the early 00s. She wore fairy wings with every outfit I could remember which seemed pretty normal to us. She also already spoke with a loud and arresting warmth that made her whole presence as much like a circus as it did a myth we were all somehow complicit in, with our own agency, whether we realized it or not.

And here she goes again, making myths and drawing magic out of the mundane.
