Ben Traverse

Grand Rapids-based traditional folk musician and member of the Earthwork Music Collective. Ben plays a variety of traditional styles including old-time, bluegrass, Celtic, and sea shanties, all with a focus on the history and culture that fostered it.

Traverse has spent the better part of a decade cutting their teeth with many prominent forces in Michigan’s folk scene. They found their passion steeping in the rich history of traditional folk music. Drawing inspiration from Pete Seeger, Alan Lomax, and countless others, Traverse brings a unique, youthful enthusiasm to a rich and storied musical tradition.

Kids Yoga with Sarah

This workshop is for kids of all ages to move, stretch, breathe and laugh together in this yoga adventure! We’ll tune into our senses, learn some breathing exercises, shake and move our bodies to get our energy flowing, play some fun yoga games and then find a moment of relaxation – all in lighthearted way! Bring a yoga mat or beach towel (if you have one- if not Ms. Sarah will bring some extras too) and don’t forget your water.

The Nathan Moore Affair

The Nathan Moore Affair is the soulful semi-acoustic gestalt of singer/keytarist Nathan Moore, guitarist Chris Schleuder, bassist Mark Glubke, and the amazing Carolyn Koebel on percussion! Formed in Kalamazoo, MI, the band has been refining its signature fusion of indie-soul, blues, folk and rock since 2018. High profile appearances include Kalamazoo Pride 2022, Buttermilk Jamboree 2022, Fretboard Festival 2023, HarmonyFest 2023, and Sounds of the Zoo Music Festival in both 2022 and 2023. The Nathan Moore Affair has just finished recording its first album, which is scheduled for release in 2024.
