Weekend Retreat & Skill Share Weekend

August 30, 2019 @ 8:00 am - September 2, 2019 @ 5:00 pm

Spend your Labor Day weekend at Circle Pines for our Climate Change Action Skill Share or just sit back and relax for the final big weekend of the summer!

We will have speakers and presentations all weekend and a hands-on opportunity to work on building a straw bale cabin on Circle Pines property. Of course there will be plenty of time for relaxing, wandering trails, and visiting the lake, too.

Some of the subject matter covered by our speakers will include food forests and permaculture, a how-to on organizing your community at the grassroots level, a talk from Kalamazoo’s Extinction Rebellion chapter, a bio-char bonfire and more. We will finish out the weekend with an in-depth presentation from the internationally recognized (and Daily Show featured!) organizers of the Lake Erie Bill of Rights.

Please follow the ticket link above to register! Contact us for information on available work-trade and scholarship opportunities. 10% refund also available for active Circle Pines members and first time visitors.

Join us for a bootstrap weekend that will bring neighbors and leaders together to ask questions and share wisdom through skills. Local action is the focus: visioning a world where we all thrive.

Some presenters will include Nic Botek teaching natural building, speakers from Kalamazoo’s Extinction Rebellion chapter, and much more!
